Cars & Coffee Wichita
Shine those cars and roast that coffee; it’s once again time for Cars & Coffee!
This month the weather was threatening to rain out the show, but fortunately, never did. This cause the start of Cars & Coffee to be quieter than expected but eventually, once the sun came out, the show got crowded. As it so happened this month there was a car in particular the captured the focus of the early crowd and then later another car captured the focus of the later crowd.
The first car to draw a big crowd was also the first appearance of this particular model, the Chevrolet's seventh-generation Corvette in its ZR1 trim—an American exotic. For those not as familiar with Corvettes or American cars, this is one of the sportiest American cars ever produced. Arms races between car manufacturers is nothing new, and the new ZR1 is the final entry into the battle of the American Big three to defeat the previous two entries: Dodge's Viper ACR and Ford's GT.
The second car to draw a big crowd later in the day was a Ferrari 488 Spider, the successor of the 458 Spider.
Cars & Coffee isn't, and shouldn't be, all about the exotics though, it's an every-drivers' show and below are some of the cars that caught my attention. Check out the rest of the sights from this month's Cars & Coffee!
